As we all
know, the stock market isn't what is used to be. Therefore,
investors are looking for other areas to invest in. Consider the
Rivage:
As reported
in the August 31, 2002 Star Tribune -
"The National Association of Realtors reported this summer that the median price for a second home, new or existing, was $162,000 in 2001, a
27 percent increase from 1999, the last time the trade group surveyed second-home buyers."

And with baby
boomers scrambling for retirement residences, that rate of
appreciation isn't likely to go down in the future marketplace.
Also in the Star
Tribune, the cover of the July 20, 2002 HOMES
supplement featured an older 800 square foot cottage in Pepin,
Wisconsin (across from Lake City and the Rivage) with views of
Lake Pepin that sold for $300,000.
For $70,000
less, 730 square feet more of living space (1450 s.f. plus
a 80 s.f. private deck) and a much better
view of Lake Pepin than the HOMES example above, you
could own 203 at the Rivage.
We
think one look will be all it will take.
